ANGELA CAVAR
Singer & Percussions
Angela Cavar is a native Calgarian. She received a bachelor of music in piano performance and also holds an A.R.C.T in vocal performance.
Angela has been teaching private music lessons for over twenty years and also works as a string and vocal accompanist. She has directed several choirs in Calgary as well as served as music director for several plays including "Eating Raoul", "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" and Theatre Calgary's "A Christmas Carol". Last year she played "Ciel" in the Downstage production of "Enoch Arden in the Hope Shelter" which was chosen by the Calgary Herald as "the third best play of 2009."
She currently sings with "So Fine", a trio which perfoms cabaret-style shows for corporate events, and she performs in recital as a classical singer around Calgary and B.C.
Angela has been singing with Banda Brava for 5 years and loves being able to let her hair down and have an excuse to aquire excessive amounts of high heels!
