Scott, a born and bred Calgarian, has been playing piano and keyboards all of his life, starting at the tender age of 6 years, studying classical and jazz. He turned his attention to rock and roll in the new wave days, playing with alternative rock bands during the 80's and later settling on jazz and blues with renown Calgary swing band, the Penguins on Broadway.
Although he always had an interest in world music, traveling to South and Central America many years ago opened him up to the world of latino music, and he was hooked from then on! One of the founding members of Latin Beat, a calgary latino dance and party band, he now spends his time making music with Banda Brava, enjoying first hand his love of salsa, merengue, and all things sabor! In addition to keyboards, Scott plays harmonica, accordion, didgeridoo and assorted percussion. If needed, he can also play campfire songs on guitar.
