"El Shane"
Born in Regina, Shane's introduction to music was with the Lions Band at age nine.
Before leaving Regina for Toronto(Humber College) to study jazz he also toured briefly with the ska group Skavenjah.
It was at Humber that Shane was first exposed to latin music by cuban pianist Hilario Duran.
Shane then toured the caribbean playing on various cruise ships.
Eventually he landed in Calgary becoming active in it's diverse music scene.
